We've just finished two major volunteer projects! First Presbyterian Church of Clarksville sent two different groups to NaCoMe to tackle the Dining Hall steps. This area is heavily utilized in the summer by our campers and a favorite spot for retreat groups to relax and take their group pictures. Clarksville's first group was their youth, who ripped out the steps and prepped the area. Then, a men's group came on a different weekend and built the beautiful new steps! And that's not all!
While Clarksville's youth were here, another group from Faith Presbyterian came and put the finishing touches on a new campfire circle at the site of the old Upper Lodge. That building is no longer there, but the fireplace is now the centerpiece of a beautiful spot for groups to gather around a fire. We won't even try to keep up with the number of s'mores that will be eaten there! We had a lot of fun with these projects and have the pictures to prove it. Check them out below!
